i care about your privacy but, perhaps more importantly, i have no cause to care about your data. i do not sell ads or engage in any sort of ‘monetization strategy’ and have no desire to do so.
i do run matomo analytics. this is just to reassure me that people do, occasionally at least, read this content and so i can look at the country list and say things like “wow, somebody from mozambique read my article. cool!”. all the matomo data is stored locally on this server and nowhere else, and is looked at exclusively (and rarely) by me. if you want to opt out of the matomo stats, you can, of course, do so on the sidebar.
